An OUTtv Original, “Wish You Were Queer” follows Michael and Tim, two ‘gay-famous’ best friends and content creators, as they journey across the USA to explore LGBTQ+ life beyond their West Hollywood bubble. With one outrageous goal in mind – to convince drag superstar Trixie Mattel to produce their stand-up comedy special – Tim and Michael bring viewers along for an unforgettable adventure through small towns, big laughs, and real stories.

Trixie Mattel also features as Tim and Michael’s mentor and unlikely fairy drag-mother, who has the potential to change their lives if they play their cards right. From quirky local encounters to heartfelt community conversations, the series dives into how LGBTQ+ culture thrives (and survives) in America’s heartland.
